Following a fatal accident a major retailer approached RiskChase to design traffic management solutions for all its branches along the East Coast. Until recently directly controlled vehicle operations such as forklift truck usage and activities associated with customers such as parking and collection have been treated separately. With the production by Safe work Australia of the traffic Management Guidelines it is essential that organisations have a formal Traffic Management Plan that covers all vehicles on the site.

Training in risk assessment is critical to any organisation’s implementation of WHS. If the procedure is too simplistic the assessments will not develop improvements. If the process is too complex the risk assessments will be inefficient and give an appearance of vigour but have no supporting statistical evidence.

RiskChase has assisted many organisations achieve that sweet spot in the risk management process particularly where the risk assessment has to be completed by service or other technicians as part of equipment or asset servicing.

RiskChase was asked by Defence to assist in the risk assessment process for a large public event. The assessment identified a number of high risks including the possibility of an external event that might result in the relocation of the capital assets. Yes that was just before 9-11
Sometimes you cannot do much about the risk except plan for the consequences.
