The Premium Discount Scheme is being introduced for NSW employers on 30 June 2001.

The Premium Discount Scheme (PDS) rewards employers who implement programs to improve workplace safety and return to work strategies for injured workers. The reward is in the form of a discount on the employer's workers compensation premium. The scheme is open to all NSW employers.

RiskChase is an approved Premium Discount Adviser that is able to offer a 15% discount to organisations that use RiskChase as their PDA and pass an audit verifying that they have met a benchmark set by WorkCover NSW.

The scheme is designed for employers with premiums above $20,000. Smaller businesses have an opportunity to take part in a small business PDS. Details of these schemes will be available on the WorkCover website.
