CRISIS & DISASTER RECOVERY PLANNING

Whilst Risk Management will minimise the potential for catastrophic losses there is always a chance that a significant event will occur which, if mishandled could threaten the existence of the organisation.

Management therefore has to plan for such events to ensure that emergencies are handled efficiently and that the time taken to recover from the event is minimised.

RiskChase has had extensive experience in all aspects of Disaster Recovery planning including the petrochemical industry working with both Esso Australia Ltd and Shell Exploration & Production.

In recent years RiskChase has been directly involved with a number of large organisations developing Disaster Recovery Plans. These include

  1. Emergency Response Planning for Explosive Manufacturer

Development of emergency and disaster plans for five major explosive manufacturing facilities in Australia and the development of competency based training to cover all site and corporate personnel.

  2. Corporate Disaster Recovery Plan for the gas utility

Development of corporate Disaster Recovery and Communication plan. Involving extensive consultation with management across the complete organisation including training of all staff and development of regional plans.

  3. Crisis Management Planning for pharmaceutical Manufacturer

Preparation of Crisis Management Plans for Australian affiliate including Y2k.

  4. Crisis Management Review for defence organisation
